Why is Japanese Football Advancing?

Why is Japanese football advancing?

Japan is currently one of the football powers in Asia. In fact, the power of football in the state of Sakura has been recognized worldwide. In the FIFA rankings until April 7, 2021, Japan is ranked 28th in the world, specifically among the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) countries. Japan is at the top. Japan has never missed a World Cup since 1998. So what made Japanese football grow so fast?

This is the beginning of a mature plan Mr. Zac, whose goal is to qualify for the 2014 Worlds and finish in at least the top 8 in the Worlds. Ambitious but clear goals, level and measurable. Since JFA arranged Mr. Zac, from the start with a goal to achieve, seemed to be given the freedom to choose his coaching staff, players and playing style, giving him plenty of time to build a team which was 3 years before he qualified, and he continued to strengthen the team until the 2014 World Cup. In total, Mr. Zac worked only 4 years with clear goals.

Goals are gradual and measurable, meaning that everything is achieved in stages and must be measurable. How did JFA and Mr. Zac plan this? The JFA organizes several international matches to build and measure the strength of the squad. Japan is a program regularly held under the banner of the Kirin Cup since 2004, inviting national teams from other countries to play friendly matches. Japan invites a country that is equal to or slightly higher than Japan, a country that may rank above Japan on FIFA but should be able to match or learn from the game. Not Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona or Real Madrid, but teams like Chile, Paraguay, Belgium, Venezuela, Bulgaria, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Iceland and Canada, where almost all of their matches were won by Japan.

A victory that slowly raised the ranking and level of Japan's game. Playing experience is important for building a team, building cohesiveness between players, testing game models and testing new players, not only in mouth-to-mouth matches against world stars, watching entertaining matches, let alone playing exchange matches. This is the difference between the friendship between the Japanese national team and our national team, which did not rise from 170th place (the worst in history).

The Fate of the Japanese National Team Before, Now and After.

At the time of writing, Japan is the 27th best Asian team in the FIFA rankings. Japan is considered one of the best Asian teams in the world when it comes to the technical aspects of the game, including first touches, short passes, build-up and defense. Since failing in 1994, Japan has always qualified for the next six World Cups. Japan (6) has only lost to South Korea (10) in World Cup matches. The 2002 World Cup was hosted by Japan and South Korea.

The competition was the first time in history that two countries were held at the same time. Since then, soccer has become increasingly popular in Japan. Their best performance was in the last 16, including their last appearance in Russia 2018. Japan played very well against these world-class players. Shinji Kagawa and co. looked good and dominated to win 2-0 before Roberto Martinez's team finally got back up to beat Japan 3-2. In the Asian Cup Championship, Japan became the most successful team with 4 awards.

The success of the Japanese national team did not come suddenly, but through years of hard work and effort. It has managed to produce great players from quality local competitions and competent training. Not to mention the X-Factors such as work ethic, discipline, mentality and Japanese work culture which are considered extraordinary, even one of the best in the world, further spurring the development of football there.

Known as the mecca of world football, European football has quite a number of Japanese players. Names like Hidetoshi Nakata, Shinji Kagawa, Shunsuke Nakamura, Keisuke Honda, Shinji Okazaki, Yuto Nagatomo, Takumi Minamino, Takefusa Kubo and many other Japanese players with good careers in Europe are increasingly convincing that Japanese football is on its way. Correctly. Given the many factors that have supported Japanese football so far, Samurai Blue has a solid foundation for the dream of winning the World Cup.

Election Forecast: Slate of races tilt toward GOP

The GOP is tantalizingly close to its goal of taking the House majority in three weeks, after an at-times-uneven, two-year campaign to flip the chamber.

POLITICO’s Election Forecast still rates the race to control the House as “Likely Republican” — but of the dozen newest updates, 10 individual contests moved in Republicans’ direction.

Her rematch against Republicans Sarah Palin and Nick Begich moves from “Toss Up” to “Lean Democratic,” as the same dynamics present in that summer upset are back. Palin and Begich haven’t made nice — while Peltola has built a formidable war chest ($2.3 million in cash on hand as of Sept. 30) and has the sheen of a winner, at least for the time being,

It would be surprising to see either GOP candidate win another ranked-choice tabulation, if Peltola falls short of a majority on Election Day.

Democrats’ fortunes decline in Florida might still be a presidential swing state — but it doesn’t look like one this year.

Four House races are moving toward Republicans, driven by two main factors: Gov. Ron DeSantis’ strength at the top of the ticket, and the GOP’s continued improvement among Latino voters.

Two open-seat races, one near Orlando and the other on the fast-growing Gulf Coast, once seen as potentially competitive, have faded from the battleground. Republicans’ top super PAC, Congressional Leadership Fund, had booked airtime to win the state’s new House seat, the 15th District, but canceled that this week as GOP nominee Laurel Lee has a commanding lead.

DeSantis’ redistricting push — putting the screws to the chastened GOP-controlled legislature to pass a brutal gerrymander — seems likely to pay dividends.

Democratic Rep. Ron Kind may not have prevailed in a rematch with GOP candidate Derrick Van Orden in western Wisconsin. But Democrats are barely contesting the seat now that Kind is retiring.
x

Van Orden leads Democrat Brad Pfaff for the seat, which went for former President Donald Trump by 5 percentage points in 2020. The race moves from “Lean Republican” to “Likely Republican.”

Democrats are also mounting little effort to unseat Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.), despite the fact that Schweikert’s Phoenix metro seat went narrowly for Biden two years ago. Democrat Jevin Hodge is largely fending for himself in the air war, where prices have been driven sky-high by the competitive statewide races.

Schweikert is now the favorite: The race moves from “Toss Up” to “Lean Republican.”

For the past eight years, Republicans have held up Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker as evidence that the GOP has broad appeal beyond the conservative base.

But both men have been effectively driven into irrelevance by Trump, and the party is all-but-certain to cede those posts in November.

The GOP has other opportunities to win in blue states this year, however. Oregon is a “Toss Up,” and races in Maine, Minnesota and New Mexico are in the “Lean Democratic” category.

Los Angeles City Council elects Paul Krekorian as new president in wake of Martinez resignation

The Los Angeles City Council elected Councilman Paul Krekorian as its new leader Tuesday to replace a president who was forced to resign amid a burgeoning scandal over racist remarks.

Krekorian is replacing former Council President Nury Martinez, who resigned her leadership post and her council seat after she was caught on a leaked recording making racist comments and discussing manipulations of the city redistricting process.

Krekorian is now tasked with leading the council on a series of political reforms, while dealing with increasingly loud calls for the two other members involved in the controversy, Gil Cedillo and Kevin de León, to also step down.

Legally the council cannot force members from office, short of serious criminal accusations, but most other members of the council have said resignations by the two is the only way for the city to heal and move forward.

Krekorian said he will aim to reduce the power of the position.

"The Council Presidency is a position of collaboration, not command," Krekorian said in a statement. "I will see that the power of the Council Presidency is reduced, not enlarged. The era of unilateral decision making and consolidating power ends today."

And he repeated calls for Cedillo and de Leon to follow Martinez and resign from office.

"Three elected members of this Council forfeited the public's trust. One has already resigned, the greatest service to the city that the others can now perform is to resign their offices so that we can begin the process of healing."

Mayor Eric Garcetti praised the selection of Krekorian, whose district is in the San Fernando Valley.

"Paul is a committed and conscientious leader who can bring a smart, collaborative, and effective approach to a painful moment when Angelenos deserve steady leadership on the City Council," Garcetti said. "I am confident that he'll assemble a leadership team of bridge builders, and I'll work closely with the Council to help heal the wounds caused by the hateful words of a few."

Protesters gathered outside City Hall on Tuesday - although the council itself was meeting online - to call for Cedillo and de León to step down.

At one point, protesters tried to force their way into the building, which was closed to the public.

Police officers wearing riot helmets pushed them back.

It was not immediately clear why the protesters wanted to enter the building, since the meeting was taking place online. Only Councilman Mitch O'Farrell, who was serving as acting president at the start of the meeting, was inside council chambers, while nine other members were meeting online.

They may have hoped to shut the meeting down until Cedillo and de León resign. Some protesters were heard chanting "No resignations, no meeting."

Some protesters opposed the selection of Krekorian.

"It's a slap in the face given what has just happened with the former City Council leadership, that they're putting someone in place that's actually worse than Nury Martinez," said Black Lives Matter leader Melina Abdullah.

Some protesters with Black Lives Matter remain camped out in de León's neighborhood, saying they will stay there until he steps down. De León has been publicly quiet since the scandal erupted and there was no sign of him at the home.

"Our prayer today is simply that these elected officials would do what is best for the city," said Pastor James Thomas, with the NAACP of the San Fernando Valley. "This issue has attempted to rip this city apart. But thank God for Black Lives Matter and those who organize for justice, who have been committed to making sure that all of the solidarity built, all the unity built over the past couple of years will not be destroyed as a result of elected officials."

Tuesday's meeting was expected to be a launching point for a series of reforms and power shifts. Councilman Mitch O'Farrell, who temporarily served as acting president when Martinez resigned, earlier this week stripped de León and Cedillo of most of their committee assignments and leadership posts.

Other reforms on the table include changing the redistricting process and expanding the size of the council to increase representation.
